Bruce Cummings

Mr. Cummings

Teacher Librarian

I have been teacher librarian at Davis Senior High School since the start of the 2010 school year. In addition to teaching the Library Assistant practical arts course, I assist students in other classes (and individually) with how to use library resources and in learning research skills. Please visit the Library page for links to our catalog and other online resources like the EBSCO databases.

I spent my childhood in San Diego county, but graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication degree from the University of Iowa (including a year abroad at the University of Hull, England). I received my Master of Library and Information Science degree from San José State University. I received my single subject credential in English at San Francisco State University. I was the teacher librarian at El Camino High School in South San Francisco before joining the staff at Davis Senior High School in 2010.
